On A Day Like This

It is on a day like this

Not too early, not too late

When the masses come to the realization of their power

That we realized we need to engage

Without fear or haste, but with urgency

It is the dying moments of oppression

The eleventh hour

It is on a day like this

Not too early, not too late

That the Gen Zs said no more

To letting the government dictate their lives.

Down with impunity!

This country is an eyesore

Its fabric is concealing it’s all torn inside!

Peaceful people, protesting peacefully

Helpless Askaris at their masters command

Comrades criminally assaulted, and arrested

In the bureaucratic blindfold of buffoons

Today we were there, we saw

We shall no longer witness impunity

We shall insult it, today, forever.

We have come out of our cocoons

Let the masses know

On a day like this

Not too early, not too late

The masses have the power!
