I’m not done yet
With the beauty of my peoples

I’m not yet done with their
Pride and agility
How can I be done with their
Ferocity
Their rich history
Their freedom heroics
Their selfless unimaginables
These who in the face of
Oppression remained
Unbwogable
Strong and unshakable
How can I be done
With their thunder
Still forgotten in the
Mountains and the
Ranges
With their restless spirits
Still trapped in the jungles
Of modern day political betrayals
I’m not done
With our history of
Betrayal
I’m not done
With the resilience of
Field Marshal Mûthoni Kîrîma
Gen. Mwaria Ma
Mekatilili wa Menza
Otenyo Nyamaterere
Elijah Masinde
Sister Deqa Ibrahim
The list is endless
No, I’m not done yet
With
Those whose eyes of
Wisdom
Blaze with a fire of
Liberation
That continues to burn
Over
Woke Generations
To come

Smile Western Sahara, Smile
Smile Western Sahara smile
45 years and counting will not halt our will
To keep agitating and fighting for your rights
Freedom is not far from becoming a reality
In the air Freedom rings, in my being, I do smell it
With your beautiful desert face held up high
Keep the faith
Always hold your head up high
Smile Western Sahara smile
For you I will always stand firm by your side
Like Sankara, I am ready to walk an extra mile
Never at one point will I stop to sing your plight
Never will I ever hesitate to walk in your stride
As we walk together towards total liberation from those who we spite
Your song, I will sing from atop mountains
I will shout about your freedom robbed and dignity confined
Smile Western Sahara smile
Only your smile will bring down the Wall of Shame
Smile untill your gallant women are free
Smile mother of the lionesses of the desert.
Smile, mother Aminatou Haidar and Sister Fatumatou
Smile, mother of the Lions of the desert
Of Brahim Ghali and Malainin Lakhal
Smile, Western Sahara smile
For you
I will always resist and fight
Smile western Sahara smile
For you
I will fight until the last might
Smile last colony of Africa smile
For you I will not rest
Until all your children smile
Smile western Sahara smile
For you I will always rise
Until all your children
Are
Free
