No Partiality In War Against Virus

Man is not a stranger to viruses
Since time immemorial
He has ‘clashed’ with them
And even today …
The ‘war’ still not ended!

Remember Cain and Abel
And the virus of jealous?
Remember some who want to obtain
All and the virus of greed?
Remember those who unashamedly pilfer
And the virus of deception?
Remember children living on the streets
All because they are victims of a virus of neglect?

The world shouldn’t practice ‘selective treatment’
When it comes, to fighting these viruses.
Wars have been declared and some even won
On HIV/Aids, Polio, influenza, Ebola, Measles, Mumps, Rubella,
Hepatitis A, Smallpox, Herpes, Yellow Fever, Dengue Fever, Rabies
And now Corona Virus among others
Wouldn’t this be the time to declare another kind of war?

If only the world would come together
And pledge a commitment in a new kind of war
Imagine a Grand confrontation against these seven viruses
That continue to plague humanity
The virus of Pride, Greed, Wrath, Envy, Gluttony and Sloth
There should be no partiality in a war against a virus

Wow! What a beautiful world this could be if mankind took concerted action in confronting these seven viruses, together as one. Thanks for the great piece.
